Breast Cancer Digital Awareness Campaign
Along with breast cancer awareness, it is important to take into consideration that how breast cancer impacts the patient’s physical and mental health. In such a situation it is highly recommended that a support group of friends and family members help motivate the breast cancer warrior to fight bravely against this deadly disease. It is quite common for a breast cancer patient to undergo adverse effects on mental health particularly hopelessness, changes in body esteem, and mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, and anger.
This Pinktober, Butterfly Pakistan partnered with Scaryammi to celebrate and acknowledge women who have supported women in the hour of need. They have been there during tough times for their loved ones hence they’re their #PinkHeroes. A series of videos were recorded with breast cancer warriors Gulnaz Ayaz, Aminah Ejaz, and Saima Shaheen who talked about their struggling days with breast cancer and how they did not lose hope because of their #PinkHeroes.
Amis on Scaryammi were asked to nominate their #PinkHeroes in a contest exclusively held on the Scaryammi Facebook group. Amongst many entries, the top 2 were shortlisted for a live interactive session with The Original Scaryammi, Ayesha Nasir. The 2 winners Sanya Irfan and Nida Naeem talked about the role of #PinkHeroes in the journey of recovery and hope of surviving breast cancer.
Butterfly Pakistan sent special giveaway boxes themed to empower women and acknowledge women’s power with a focus on women being heroes for women. Bloggers and content creators helped spreading the word across their social media platforms by sharing and talking about this company initiative held by Scaryammi and Butterfly collectively.
