As the year 2020 comes to end, I would like to mention a few things or lessons if you must say this year has taught me.

It has been a very tough year for all of us in one way or the other. Some of us lost their loved ones, some of us struggled financially, and some of us broke down emotionally. We all have struggled in some way.

The biggest realization I have had this year is that nobody is as important and as concerned for you as your immediate family; your parents and siblings mainly!

Losing a loved one and watching your loved ones battling for their life this year has taught me to be more available for your family whenever you get time. Because you don’t know when is the last time you’ll be seeing them, hearing their voice or feeling their presence around?

With a lot more time in hand with myself this year, it has made me realize how important self-love is! You need some me time in order to get things sorted out in your own mind. You need to start appreciating yourself. You need to learn to put yourself as your first priority because that’s when people around will value you.

Another thing this year has taught me is that this world needs more kindness than any other thing. Kindness costs nothing at all and you being kind to someone can mean the world to them. Life is so unpredictable trust me!

Lastly, the most important thing is that believe in Allah and stay close to Allah and he will pave the ways for you Himself.
